2015 Tall Fescue Lawn Program
Venture Turf Management has developed a six step program providing the essential building blocks for a beautiful, healthy, weed free lawn. Listed bellow is a brief description of what we will be spraying and an approximate time of the year each application will be applied.
Early Spring: February – March
- Pre-emergent weed control
- Weed control of selective broad leaf
- Organic fertilizer
Late Spring: April – May
- Pre-emergent weed control
- Weed control of selective broad leaf, nutsedge, and crabgrass
- Organic fertilizer
Early Summer: June – July
- Weed control of selective broad leaf, nutsedge, and crabgrass
- Micro nutrients for summer stress
- Wetting agent to help your lawn retain water
Late Summer: August – September
- Weed control of selective broad leaf
- Micro nutrients for summer stress
- Wetting agent to help your lawn retain water
*End of Summer aeration and seeding: September – October
- Core aeration
- Tall Fescue seed
- Starter fertilizer
Fall: October – November
- Weed control of selective broad leaf
- Organic fertilizer
Winter: December
- Winterizer fertilizer
- Soil conditioners
*Aeration and seeding is highly recommended but not included in the six step program. Please let us know if you would like to have your lawn aerated and seeded.
